Payment Types Accepted

Proper Motor Storage

Having a spare motor on hand is only as good as the care taken to store it. Various storage steps should be taken for electric motors and generators that will not be put into service for six months or longer.

  • Store indoors if possible
  • Select a clean, dry environment with minimal to no vibration
  • Store the motor in the same position as it will be used (vertically or horizontally)
  • Wrap the motor loosely and cover all openings to prevent rodent and insect infestation; be sure to leave some space for airflow to prevent condensation build up
